Bienvenidos, Amigos!

My name is Monica Olivera and I am a homeschooling Latina mom. I publish MommyMaestra.com, a site for Latino parents who want to get more involved in their children's education. As a 6th generation Latina living far from family and who is married to a non-Latino, I have found it to be a real struggle to pass my native language on to my children. So I use whatever resources I can find and work it into our school days. Over the years through my work with MommyMaestra and also my other site, LatinBabyBookClub.com, I have discovered many resources that are perfect for Spanish-speaking families and those trying to learn the language, so I felt compelled to share them with others.

I'm looking forward to sharing with you many of the online resources that teachers (and parents) can use with their own students to help them learn the language and succeed academically.

I am extremely flattered to be asked to contribute to this site, and would like to thank Lidia for the invitation.
